HEARTFELT POSTS: Make your post heartfelt and personal! Add your own experience, gif, or photo to the comments, too.
INVITE ALL MEMBERS TO COMMENT: These are BATTALION WIDE posts; don't make your post specific to a company. Ask the "seasoned" members to share their recent experiences with the "newbies".
ABOUT THIS BWP: This is a post "just for fun" so keep it fun and light. If you're creating your own question, be sure to check with your AGL first and keep it on topic.

Choose from one of the following two types of posts:

1: Semper Toons on the MP Website. This is a great option if you didn't get a chance to prepare a post with a VCM; include something personal about the cartoon you choose to share. Copy and paste the full URL to the PAGE for the specific cartoon you choose. Encourage the members to comment on the cartoon by asking them a specific question.

2: Games with GIFS (a/k/a Gif Wars). Facebook offers "gifs" with tons of animated characters and options. Remember NOT to use a GIF as the image for the post; create a VCM (see below). After making your post, be sure you share YOUR answer in a GIF! Here are some ideas:

  • What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word Marine? Answer using a GIF.
  • What's your favorite food/hobby/sport? Answser with a GIF only--no text!
  • What was your reaction to your son/daughter joining the Marine Corps? Answser with a GIF only--no text!
  • Explain the job you do during the day using only a GIF.
  • What's the funniest GIF you've ever seen on Facebook?
  • What will be your reaction be the next time you see your newly-minted Marine? Answer with a GIF only--no text!
  • Do you have a pet at home? Answer with a GIF only--no text!
  • Where are you emotionally today? Answer only with a GIF--no text!
  • What's the ONE THING your recruit thought s/he couldn't be without during boot camp? Answer with a GIF, no text!

RTU & VCM IMAGES: For the Semper Toons, use the image pre-coded in the page you share; be sure to include the full URL.

You will need to create your own VCM with the Meme Generator for the GIF Game/War. DO NOT use a GIF to start the post; use a VCM. Use a GIF to answer your own question in the comments of your post.

  REMINDER:
Upload your VCMs to your VO Photo Album in your MP Team Group before using it in your post. Click the folder to open the MP Meme Generator.

MEMBER INTERACTION: Add your VO signature; tag yourself so the members "see" who you are. Be sure to go back in after you make the post so you can talk with the members. They want to hear from YOU.
